yesterday’s movie date with my cousins 🎥
i’ve never seen a diamond in the flesh
i cut my teeth on wedding rings in the movies
and I’m not proud of my address,
in a torn-up town, no postcode envy
but every song’s like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin’ in the bathroom,
blood stains, ball gowns, trashin’ the hotel room,
we don’t care, we’re driving cadillacs in our dreams
but everybody’s like crystal, maybach, diamonds on your timepiece,
jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash.
we don’t care, we aren’t caught up in your love affair
and we’ll never be royals
it don’t run in our blood,
that kind of lux just ain’t for us
we crave a different kind of buzz
let me be your ruler,
you can call me queen bee
and baby i’ll rule
let me live that fantasy
i know it’s knida late to post this song. but i just can’t :)
before anything else, i want to say sorry for this looooong blog. sorry i tried to trim it down. but i just love to show all of these to all :)
so to have a worthwhile semestral break, my family booked a flight for a four-day adventure trip at puerto princesa, palawan.
when we got there, the first thing that we did was to eat. we ate at balinsasayaw (bird’s nest). the food and the ambiance of the restaurant was just all refreshing. like we usually intend to happen on the first days of our trips, we just slacked, rested and prepared ourselves for the next days
on our second day, we went to the famous underground river. seven wonders of the world baby! it took us two hours to travel by land to get to the boats’ port. and with the boat ride, it took us around twenty to thirty minutes to get to the cave. to be honest, at first, i was not really expecting that i would enjoy the underground river cause i thought all you have to do there is stare at the figures in the cave that you can’t even touch. but i swear, i really had a great time. the boatman’s explanations and jests helped a lot in making the ride enjoyable :)
after our underground river tour, they took us to the ugong rock cave. “ugong” cause when you tap some of there stalactites, (yes at this cave, you can touch them) they create cute and interesting noises/sounds. this cave has obviously no river in it, so we had to squeeze and twist in our bodies into small holes plus a lot of trekking and climbing to get to the top.
so why is it our goal to be on the top of the cave? because there is a zip line! yey! haha it was my first time :) i should have tried the superman though
on our way home we visited souvenir shops and one of them is this one :)
for dinner, we ate at kinabuchs, a famous restaurant at puerto. we had an outdoor dinner while watching on a big screen
the third day was my favorite since i’d been craving to swim on a beach. so finally we did together with the island hoping, snorkeling and fish feeding. we visited two out of the sixteen islands that they offer namely, cowrie and pandan.
the beaches at palawan are more alive compared to boracay (in terms of sea creatures). that is why they advised us to rent aquatic shoes to avoid serious harm that sea urchins or stone fishes bring. at the beach, you don’t have to go that far from the shore to see fishes. unlike at boracay, even if you have been already thrown at the middle of the sea, you can only see a handful of fishes while snorkeling. you even have to do helmet diving to experience fish feeding. i even haven’t seen a starfish at boracay unlike at palawan, gad, they’re biiig! while in terms of activities that can be done, palawan can only offer a few.
for our last day, our tour guide took us on a city tour. he showed us their bay, their church, etc. and this popular bakehop, baker’s hill.
been a while since the last time that i entered a zoo that is why i also enjoyed this one :) too bad the peacock was too lazy to flaunt her tail.
palawan is just awesome. fresh air, clean environment, the food and the souvenirs are cheap, the people are very very kind. if you love nature, this is the place to go to. our trip was very memorable. how i wish that i could come back again and visit el nido and coron next time :)
french toast from starbuck’s. my comfort food
like what i’ve said, that blog was just posted late. stated there was my opinion then, when they won. well if you can’t comprehend that, scram. read some other blogs that are less dense
A PAINFUL LOST
a late blog. should’ve posted this last week. photo’s not mine.
this championship hurt more than last year’s with admu. i don’t know maybe because i’m a graduating student and i want to experience a win before i leave ust. or maybe because it was already on our hands then after a few minutes, it just slipped.
if you’ve watched the game, of course, like everyone, you’ll point your finger too to aljon. yeah it is his fault. but well unlike others, i won’t bash aljon mariano. it is just too shallow of you guys to accuse him that he sold the game. so called “supporters”. quite alarming, there are more comforting tweets for aljon from other schools and a gazillion bash tweets from thomasians. again, how shallow are your reasons to “support”.
well congrats dlsu :) naisahan niyo lang kami HAHA! still, our university ranked 150th in asia. what was your rank again? LOL kidd :))) but yea, seriously, your players deserve this :)
